Default Chrome ... am I screwed ?

Bike sat in a trailer for the last 7 mo. while I was away at work, pulled her out today, fuuuuuu ...... The chrome is literally green. Got some Maguires chrome cleaner / polish, it knocks off the green but there is still discoloration. Need some input, tricks, ect. Thanks

Try using some fine steel wool to apply the polish.

IF you do this, be very careful, and only use 0000 steel or copper wool.
Use very low pressure too, steel wool can damage chrome, and once you scratch it, it's done

Never had 0000 steel wool scratch any chrome but then again I never leaned on it while using it.

If you can find it, brass wool that the boat builders use works without scratching.

I've had good luck with white diamond metal polish.

Semichrome polish, Eagle One Never Dull wadding polish, and Blue Magic chrome polish have all worked for me on really tough polishing jobs...

magic wadding compund with good old cheap turtle wax chrome polish in the round can its as aggresive as you want.I refuse to use steel wool any more with this import chrome as its to thin as well as to soft.If you look at all of this new chrome under a blacklite you can see the imperfections and it appears silver underneath .Steel wool exposes this undercoating in way more spots allowing it to tarnish as well as rust way to quick
