. I traded to a 2007 Ultra, put the stock pipes back on the RKC before I traded and put the SE IIs on the Ultra... still loving the sound... problem is that Harley no longer sells the SE IIs.. and from what I've read the new SE's don't enhance the sound that much.
I just put Screamin' Eagle II on my '07 Softail Custom today, I got them on ebay for $117.00 shipped. I had to modify the brackets at work before they would bolt on. I also changed the Screamin' Eagle A/C and flashed the ECM with the SERT.
For those of you have Rush exhaust, where did you purchase them? Rush does not sell directly to the public, and the two or three websites I found that does sell them don't have them for the softail custom.
V&H do make slip ons for Softails....I have V&H slip ons on my Softail. Sound great and was a very easy install. I recommend getting 2 replacement crossover gaskets from the parts department....they are cheap so why not.
