I bought my first pair about two weeks ago. In cooler weather I often wear a fullface helmet with a tinted face shield. If I ever get stuck out after dark, I wanted a small compact clear set of glasses that I could talk underneath my seat and not worry about them getting messed up. I've used them a few times after dark with the helmet and so far so good. The only problem is they fogged up when I gets chilly at stoplights but that's to be expected. You can't beat their stuff for the price... I paid eight dollars for this pair.
And really, who the hell cares about SOA references. The show is modeled after real life trends within the biker community. The only people that don't realize that are people that don't ride or don't know the culture...
if you wanna not do something because they do it on soa, then you better sell your harley. i hear the new indians are nice, if you can ever get the bike you ordered in
oh yeah, i like kd's as well. i bought mine from pacific something or other for $5 pair. bought 4 pair and with shipping was around $20. don't mind losing or breaking them for that price.
I've been riding with them for years, and still do but less frequently. There are many choices which provide better protection from the wind and sun and debris. But yeah, KD's get the job done.
Gotta tell this story about kid's.years ago while in the navy (submarines) I ordered 2 pair of kid's from the back of a magazine. The order came out to 4.50 a pair . All I had was a 10 dollar bill. I put my order in the mail and we went out on an op. When we got back I had a small package at mail call. Inside were 2 pairs of original kid's, a packing list, a and a 1 dollar bill.
I have a pair of KD's I wear occasionally, but the wife thinks they look goofy for some reason. Usually I wear 3M Virtua safety glasses, they're the best things I've found for riding. Super cheap, ANSI rated, come in a huge selection of tints, fit very tight to my face with no frame, I almost can't tell I'm even wearing them. Plus they're less than $2.00.
