My 2013 Glide is at the dealer having a few mods done! The Rinehart Classic True Duals I had them put on run right under and on my left leg, I had them put my Captain Itch Crotch Cooler on and test ride it, now mysteriously my left pipe is all scratched! They claim the crotch cooler burned/melted to the pipe and they had to rub it off real hard to remove the mark, and scratched my new exhaust in the process! I looked underneath the leather pad and there is no mark on it, sounds real fishy to me!! Anyone on here have a cooler that it sits right on the pipe at times, and has it burned or melted to it?
Thinking I'd PM the Capt, ask if its ever happened. (probably NOT) maybe even a letter from him saying that.
Then as said above, ask dealer to duplicate.
Even if the C-Cooler did put a mark on Ur pipes THEY should know how to remove a mark on the pipes without scratching them.
I had a couple black spots once on my rear heat shield near the jug. Tried severals ways to remove it and in the end after all the rubbing I now have a small area that's a little dull, but no Scratches. Still shines OK, but not like a mirror.
Are the scratches longer than the C-C leather or just underneath it.??
Agree, something don't seem right with dealers claim.
if your crotch cooler supposedly melted, show us the pic of your crotch cooler where the leather melted. I take it this is your first bike and you are younger than 40?
