'99 WG with 64,000 miles for about $6,000. I haven't seen it in person, only online(eBay.) I'd probably end up spending another $500 for gas, lodging and food going and getting it, they would ship but I'd rather go and see it to pick it up and it would still be cheaper. http://m.autoexpressia.com/#/vehicle/4790829
Here is their website, 100% positive feedback ebay seller, seems like a fair buy. High mileage means you are buying unknown remaining miles. http://www.autoexpressia.com/

I guess my only worries are the mechanical condition of the bike. I've never bought online and I'm quite a bit turned off by the idea but a blacked out WG is exactly what I've been wanting for several years(chrome looks good but it's Not worth the polishing). I already told the wifey I'm selling the Ninja at tax season and I'll probably sell the Sportster too when I buy a bigger bike and then be down to just the one.
theres better people in here than me that is more familar with prices but i dont think its worth it. Looking at it its a nice looking bike but i get the feeling it was a rough looking bike and they spruced it up with some bullsht. Just my 2 cents.
There are a lot better deals to be had close to home. Dallas & Houston CL for one. I just flipped an 02 NightTrain with 15,000 miles on it for 7.5k....it was a VERY clean bike with most of the maintenance records...
Looks like you've got at least a 13 hr ride (Shreveport to DeWitt, IA). Man that's a long way to go to check out a bike. Are you prepared to walk away from it once you're there if it isn't exactly as you hoped, after you've invested the time and money to get there? The dealer will know this and you'll be at a disadvantage in negotiations; you just can't get up and leave and come back in a few days for a better deal.
It's an older bike w/ high miles. It's December. That bike isn't going anywhere right now. IMO, I would ask that a carfax and all service records be emailed to you so you can dig into any history. Then I'd really lowball them with an almost embarrassing offer. You need a real low price to offset the risk of hidden issues that could be lurking somewhere.
I hope it turns out to be a cream-puff and gives you tons of trouble-free miles, but plan for the worst and buy accordingly.
Good luck!
