There really is no brotherhood. I wouldn't help some of these people push their motorcycles out of traffic on a dead end street. Gets ugly on some of this crap fast, especially in the winter. Bless their hearts.

And there are some very active imaginations spinning outrageously fabricated stories and there's no shortage of EXPERT riders.
Only once have I parked on a walkway. Was out riding and started to pour, pulled up under the building eave of a restaurant that had a 30' wide sidewalk
Parked it out of the way and went in to eat.
What does bug me is the guys who park in handicap spots that really do not need to. I have a friend that's in a wheel chair that needs that wide spot to get in and out. Always taken by folks that can walk a few more feet.
One guy comes to a car show at a local mall with a reg driver. He always takes the handicap spot, even when there are spots next to it. Pisses me off because he then spends the whole time at the car show walking around
I agree 100%. Nothing worse than someone who is healthy taking a spot from someone who actually needs it.
I would say this tho. Not all of us who are physically impaired need a wheelchair. I suffer from Peripheral Neuropathy, mainly due to kidney dialysis and congestive heart failure. I can appear to be normal, tho I walk fairly slow, but trust me..I am far from healthy. So just cause you don't see anything doesn't mean we aren't impaired. Might be the case of your boy at the car show. If it isn't tho..shame on him!
Berkley, MA. How's your winter? Where will you fit into this hodge podge of opinions? This is entertainment when things are slow. Sometimes there is even a real thread of intelligence. Almost as fun as people watching at a crowded event without having to smell them.

My Neighbor has a buddy that stops over all the time with his POS rat bike. He parks it on the side walk. There is a fence that runs along one side of the sidewalk. I was walking the dog one night an had to walk around the bike on the right of way. In doing so my foot caught the edge of the sidewalk and I rolled my ankle. Lucky for the both of us some advil took care of the pain. When I'm walking the dog if chooses to lift his legs I'm not going to stop him. When my grandson's learns to ride a bicycle if it's on the sidewalk it's fair game. Don't like it talk to Mr Middle finger!!!

I agree, you cannot see the issues sometimes. This guy clearly has no issues, walks fine, on his feet for three hours on asphalt. Moves fine. One day I will tear him another one. He will park in the handicap no matter how many spots adjacent are empty.
Once you spend some time with someone crippled from the waist down, and see the struggle they go through, you would take the further spot. Just to get in and out of his vehicle to go to the store is a major undertaking, he cannot park in a normal spot in case someone parks next to him.
I could not walk for three months, severe pain. Dr got me the placard, I used it once because I would rather walk then make someone in a wheelchair suffer one bit more

I rode two hours each day February 1st and 2nd. It was high 40's with good sun then it dipped into the teens and twenty's with a bunch of snow Monday and Tuesday. I try ride all year to keep to juice flowing and the battery up in the bike before the spring fluid changes. There's always a few day every month that are good enough to ride.
Entertainment? A guy in the other parking thread is saying a Detroit cop instructed and even guided he and his buddy to back their truck over a Porsche the was partially blocking a loading dock.

Ahh, I see you don't believe it.I guess you never met a Detroit cop. It was not my truck, I was driving a rental box truck. This was a commercial truck and trailer that went over the Porsche. Detroit cops have no time to worry about some moron that parked where he is not supposed to. If you have not been to Detroit lately you should visit. It's pretty nice.....for a war zone.
