Yep, wot he said.

More accidents in car parks than anywhere, not to mention mums with 2 or more kids that aren't taught to hold on to their door when they open it, not just use the vehicle next to them as a door stop.

Unless Colorado is different, commercial property land owners are usually large off-shore or Asian investment corporations. Good luck asking a land owner if they want a bike ticketed.

His mall is different. And marijuana is legal there. Unicorns get preferred parking. You can trust him.

Maybe it's different in Nova Scotia, but in California we have a plastic tag to hang on the mirror. That's fine in a car. But on the bike it's out there for anyone to take.
They issue you plates, you just gotta wait a few weeks for them to arrive from Sacto as opposed to having them on hand like they do for cages.

There are people much more needy (except on bad days) of the spaces than I.
Not true. My girlfriend and I are both on the title to my bike and I have plates, but I'm the only disable one.

Yeah, thanks, we applied for the plates at our local DMV, and the clerk made the transaction. We didn't hear anything for almost a year. When we finally checked into the lapse, they explained that my wife had to be the one who was handicapped, since she was the registered owner. I guess they weren't going to tell us.

edit:I see you editted your original post and have somehow managed to skate past the DMVclerks. I will have to ask DMV why you were able to get your plates and I wasn't. Would you care to share your plate number so they can straighten out the discrepancy ?

Yeah, don't bother. I won't rat you out. Like I said, the clerk at the office accepted the transaction and was able to process it with some help. Sacto wouldn't send US the plates but would send them to you. Good 'ol DMV. Good on you. This was in 2011. Your bike is a 2014. Perhaps they've gotten their act together since then. Sure...

I park my truck on the sidewalk too. It's a machine just like my bike and I just can't stand the thought of it being out in the lot with all the other machines and possibly getting damaged, since I plan on it lasting forever. I also never drive my truck when there's more than a 20% chance of rain, and I NEVER wave to people driving foreign trucks. And when I do park it, it has to be where I can see it, God forbid something happens to it while I'm not looking.

You guys talking about parking in the diagonal stripes, I hope it's not near the handicap spots. I've seen a lot of geezers and old hags trying to maneuver in and out of those spots and that chit is scary.
