Lived there for 6 years. Still trying to get work back there.
If you go back, try Red's Ice House, it's on Shem Creek too. I think it has a better view. There are several hotels near the Yorktown. Take a carriage ride in downtown Charleston. Isle of Palms, Sullivan's Island and Folly Beach if you want to sit in the sand.
