Default Road America renewal, any feedback up north?

Looks like I'm due to renew the Road America roadside assistance plan in the next month if I want to keep it active. I currently have the "Ultra" plan. I've had it for a couple of years, never had to use it. I have towing on my regular insurance, but it won't cover Canada or Alaska towing.

In June, I'm taking the UC to Canada and Alaska. I know towing is extremely expensive up there if needed, especially when hundreds of miles from the nearest HD dealer. Was curious if anybody who has Road America service has had to use it up north, and your experiences with it on whether your towing was actually covered or not.

Still looking for feedback if anybody has any experience with this plan.

So have you called them and asked them for advice? They may cover you temporarily while you are traveling up north for a fee.

They don't answer the email link on their site. Called their emergency number, and they said it was to report breakdowns only, and to email their customer support group with questions.

So, trying to find the answer here from somebody that may know.

I called them on that "customer care" number last month. Got a recording saying all agents busy. It took 17 minutes for a live person to answer the phone. Is that customer care? I don't think so. Imagine, in an emergency waiting on some road side that long to ask for help. In my experienced opinion, Road-America does NOT care. But go ahead and call them. And get a few books to read while you wait for a live person to answer the phone.

Their general number for customer service sucks. Guess I'll just pay the funds and hope I never have to use it or find out.
