If I think about it, I'll get depressed. And mine is mild compared to some. Most of the money I've spent on it was required maintenance/service. Every 5,000 miles seems like a lot, but it's not. Especially on a touring bike where you can ride for hours and not even think about it.
Ya know I've spent about $2.5K just getting it comfortable to ride for my lanky azz, and that was basic stuff, I've only done the stage 1 as far as performance. So hey buying it was the cheap part ! Riding it is priceless !
i have two money pits sitting in the garage. can't help myself ! i've always dropped alot of cash on my scoots, but have always done the work myself which takes some of the bite out of it. i enjoy working on them and even painting some of the bikes i've had over the years. when i bought the 92 i rode it home 22 miles and took it completely apart to ( left motor & trans in) change it up. really had the wifes head spinning.

I've had mine since late November 2012. Between $2500-3000 on extras. Pipes, AC, bars & risers, left side bag, passanger peg relocation bracket and when I get the primary cover chromed, that'll be it for me.
well I have it insured for full replacement if something was to happen to it and that's only counting the parts that's no labor . by the time you get the accessories you want and if you get into making power like I did it adds up in a hurry fast. and it seems like it never ends! bought new in 2011. plus close to $8000.00 in extra"s
