Default Is This Normal ???

I've got an '07 RKC with V&H Dresser Duals, Screaming Eagle A/C and a PCIII USB. Now that I've got about 1500 miles on it, I decided to see what it would would do. It pulls like a freight train up to about to 105 mph and then kinda peters out from there to 120 mph. Is this normal? Should I get a dyno tune?

I doubt that you'll be riding at 105+ much so I wouild not worry about it. What's probably happening is that the torque and HP curve flatten out or even drop at the higher rpm and gear range, which would account for the drop in acceleration and power you describe.

Maybe one of the reasons I am so old is I am fairly safe. Speeds like that do not interest me anymore. I believe better safe than sorry.

I think DGlide is right about the drop off of the power curve. Sorta like having your engine get smaller when ya get over 105mph. I think that falls into the catagory of the speed of light. As you approach it, time slows down.

You could be hitting the rev limiter , you can extend it with a power commander rev extend feature.

It's definitely the rev limiter!

That seems about right for what I have experienced on all my bikes.

The Harley engine cannot withstand too many RPM's. Get a Hayabusa dude.

I've got the rev limiter enabled and I never hit it. I simply backed off when I pegged the speedometer. I just wanted to see what the beast would do.
