Terrible to hear things like this. I hope all involved recovery and ride again. I don't ride in groups anymore because of some "squirrelly" guys that kept changing lanes and accelerating hard up on my *** a few times. I had too many idiots hard braking and just riding too close and reckless. I only ride with people I know and trust anymore. God Bless.

Why does this make a difference to you? Maine has no helmet laws so some wear them, some don't.

So sorry to hear this. I will be thinking of the injured and their families.

That is the risk in these types of group rides. Lots of riders of varying and unknown riding abilities. Rolling Thunder is happening here tomorrow and there are always a couple stories like this. Sad.

Always sad to hear when a fellow rider goes down, even more so when it's a rider doing a charity ride for a good cause.
