The local dealership here pretty much always gives at least a 10% discount and sometimes more whether buying parts, Tshirts or getting service. I guess I'm just lucky to have people that care about my repeat business.

they make to much money....and dont care about the people buying it anymore....
Not necessarily defending the Dealerships but in response to this line of thinking I have to ask, does anybody know someone working at Harley, be it mechanic, builder, sales etc... that's makin too much money? The company's gotta answer toever heightening labor agreements and to stockholders...people just like you and me.

Default RE: Freaking Dealers!

I have to admit, my local HD dealership has been pretty good to me thus far, and I didn't even buy my bike from them. I was in there buying a few trinkets a couple of weeks back (more shiny bits...), before I'd even taken delivery of my bike. I mentioned to the guy helping me that I'd already spent close to $2800 on crap, and I hadn't even gotten the bike home into the garage yet. (Not hinting for a discount...just making conversation...) He said, "Really...well, sounds like you've already spent enough...here, tell ya what..." and knocked 10% off the marked price. Only saved me about $8, but was certainly appreciated. It'll keep me going back. I agree with a couple of other posters here...the dealers lose out on thousands of dollars in upgrade items, because they're too cheap to discount stuff a little bit for regular customers. My 2 cents...
