There will always be chest beaters they love to hear themselves talk. Some call it the little man syndrome and other things.
as a "little man" I take offense to that.
I ride very little these days. It's a time thing. Before kids, I'd easily put 20K+ miles a year in the Northeast, and from 90-92 I didn't own a car. It was a sportster, a tent and 3 changes of clothes.
Now with 2 pre-teen kids, a mortgage, job that's 6+ days a week and 2 other vehicles that are fun to drive in the good weather I'm lucky to get 2000 miles a year now.
I sold my roadking about a month ago, and bought a softail 2 weeks ago. I don't think I've put 200 miles on the bike since I've bought it. I've had less than an hour free at a time in a couple weeks. Unfortunately the bike sits, but when it does get out I'm instantly reminded why I still own a bike and still ride (even if it's just 2000 miles a year).
There are some who in their tells of the trip state the mileage but to me that's not chest pounding but just relevant Info I myself could care less how much you ride.
So you're saying you do care a little bit?
