So it gets very hot in DFW and lots of stop and go traffic. Above the asphalt my bike thermometer says 115 many days, and when you have to stop for 5-10 mins ouch. Plus when I get to where I'm going its still hot and I want shorts on. So do any of you use or recommend a good pair of pullover mesh pants that have some protection to go with air flow? So when I get there I can just peel em off and have my shorts on.
I've never stopped in traffic for 5-10 minutes , except for trains and then I turn my bike off. Even still, I'd think any extra pants, mesh or otherwise would be just as hot.

I don't think he meant extra pants, but rather mesh pants over shorts. That should, theoretically be cooler.
I just bought these from New Enough $71.00...I work in shorts, but ride to work 95% of the time.
I wanted something to keep the 04:00 bugs off my pretty legs. The have a mesh liner and zippers that you can open for additional cooling.
I personally wear the 1st Gear HT overpant -- I think they actually keep some of the heat off of me -- and while on those stops for gas, food etc -- I leave them on -- we have temps similar to yours
