Cannot decide between the Fat boy and Heritage. Buying used to save $$. Not a long haul bike I just want a cool original looking ride. Any tips for buying?
I'd go with the Heritage myself. If you don't like the bags and windshield take em off and save them for a trip if you decide to go on one. Just me though. Blake
I don't care for softails at all but I know something about personal taste and
modification, so I would go with the heritage. You buy stock heritage you get saddle bags that you can take off and exhaust that says Harley Davidson second you can buy the parts, and stickers to make a cross bones , so the sky is the limit. Never buy a bike for the way it looks, buy it for the way you can make it look. I don't care for the Road King Classic, but I loved the Road King Custom. What I wound up with is the Road King Custom Classic, or the Road King Classic Custom, and after seven years, I'm still trying to figger this one out. Man have some fun with your choice of bike.

Engraved Rebellion: Inside Bundnerbike's Glam Rock II
I bought the FB (my first Harley) a year ago. Absolutely a terrific bike. But now, being into year 2 with the Harley I'm shopping around for a Heritage because I prefer the larger front fender and higher bars. Buy the FB and you may find yourself wishing it were a Heritage in a couple years. But, buy the Heritage now and I doubt you'll ever wish it were a FB.
