All my older Harleys have been to the throttle stops often.The new big inch baggers both geared tall are limited by the windshields.The 124" while decelerating because the windshield was buffeting me around,I looked down to see the speedo sliding back by 120 mph.The 155" bagger (almost finished)will do the same thing.No need to know without the windshield.I must be slowing down because of age.

So far: Fastest on bike: 115mph on my Night Train (I was still accelerating, but was coming up on traffic).
Fastest in a car: somwhere in the 170 - 190 mph range in a ZR-1 Corvette.

145 mphin a hopped up 79' Z28...whichwe totaled later that night.
125 mph on my LowRider......wind became a factor along with this vision of me leaving an a$$ smear on about 500 yds of pavement......bike is fast though and still had more in her....I will never know how much more though.

On the Ultra i hit 110 for a min and that was it, really wasjust having fun and happen to glance down. I wasn't trying to hit any highs. 71 Dodge Charger back in the 70's. It had a 440 Magnum, i hit 140 once.Long, flat stretch on I-80 between Omaha and Lincoln. Still didn't like it, felt like i started coming up skimming the tops of the cracks.

i always follow the laws and never speed ever. . . . . EVER!
but IF i were to break the law and ride faster that the posted limit i'd say i could do about 120 and be scared to death when i notice the speedo up that high.

Back when I was 18 I had a bad *** 1989 Honda CR 500 with the stock sprockets it only do 85mph so I changed them out and it do 115 with the front wheel up until 110mph that sucker was wicked quik.
1995 ZX11 157mph with alot more left more then I wanted to push on the street.
1977 Chevy truck 454 could barry the speedo in the 1/4 mile and could almost bring the needle back to zero. My buddys and I always thought it do atleast 140mph,It would eat up Vetts/ Irocs/ Mustangs and just about anything that got in the way.
My Road King will do 115 in forth gear and I've only pushed fifth alittle past 120mph, If I had to guess I think it could do130 with out the wind shield.
