Mize as well really be safe and use .016 mechanic's wire.

When I had to replace my rear brake line I wanted to use the better quality ties that the factory uses. The brand name is Ty-Rap made by Thomas and Betts. They are stronger and more pliable than the run of the mill straps and oil/heat/UV resistant. I found them at Home Depot I think, maybe Lowes.

Interesting that Thomas and Betts invented the cable tie in 1958 for use in aircraft.
