After many bikes and years of riding, I decided it was time for my Harley. Bought a used but in mint condition 2012 Fat Bob. My only concern at this time is any damage after a tip over. I don't particular like the regular round crash bars and was thinking of buying a Kuryakyn Adjustable Mustache Bar.
I know the standard crash bars do protect much more in case of a real fall. However, I would like to hear from members any comments if the mustache bar would anyway help in just a tip over.
Just installed the HD Mustache guard on my FLS today. Can't tell you about tip over safety, and I hope I never will, but I CAN tell you that the foot rests are awesome!
I get the point. Engine guards seem to be best alternative as for insurance for both, tip over as well as for a fall. Now, as said I am not particularly fond to this oversized engine guards. HD OEM ones look oversize for me. Are there any small or square type guards that don't bother much my appeal for them? I found a somewhat square Biker's Choice guard for the 2012 Fat Bob but haven't seen a Fat Bob will them. Anyone have a pic?
if your just looking for a place to hang your feet. there are plenty of adjustable tube mounted foot rests that will fit that need. otherwise get a real crashbar.
