I have a simple question.
One of my passing lites burned out...I have not removed it yet to replace it.
Is this a sealed beam or a new style "replace the bulb" style lite?
All the older styles are sealed beam but this lite looks a lil different from the front...It is stock as far as I can tell.
I assume its "sealed beam" old school automotive technology.
It does seem like a separate bulb...those are very helpful schematics...thanks, that site is bookmarked.
I will pull it out tonite and know fer sure...it might mean a trip to the Auto store vs Harley shop...Auto parts store is much closer and prolly cheaper.. Especially if I walk into Harley and want to buy a few other items ! ...100 bucks spent real fast when all I "needed" was a light bulb.
Well I removed the passing light assembly tonnite..it is in fact a 2 part deal. a bulb and a lense. Type 881L. 10 bucks at auto stores...but I bought some LEDs off ebay since no auto stores carried them. 10 bucks each locally or 25 for 2 off ebay. Will update with a descrition of them when they arrive in a week. For now its a 1 headlight 1 passing lite bike....the amp draw will be greatly reduced and have the blueish tint like the HID style lights hopefully making me more visible...(amazing how people miss seeing us ! )..will check for LED headlight bulb next...see if I can achieve the LED setup without spending 200+ dollars on the Harley or Truck-Lite pkg's
