Default 2011 flhx alarm..

I searched all over, i cant store my PIN code for my alarm fob after programming it in with my turn signals...everything i have read says turn ign. to off position after i put in PIN code 5 digit, before it re-sets by it self..I did this but its not retaining the code and goes back to not having the bike start (alarm on mode) HeLP!! thanks ...or is it off to the dealer for this? later..

Assuming you entered the code correctly, after entering the 5th digit you press the right TS 1 time to enter the new code.

so i have fully charged bike, new batt in fob, all bike functions work, lts, radio etc, when i approach bike the alarm red key is flashing, but the turn signal lights do not flash as they used to in the past, and when i walk away also they DO NOT flash to Arm the bike..
i tried all the on/off/on/on...TS functions...re-did code, but it wont Store in the odometer area. any other suggestions is appreciated, i feel this is the problem (no-storing of code) but after i put in code, i turned ign off,,,,i also put in code and hit Right tS once then ign off...but still no luck..

sorry i didnt get my point across correctly, what i meant to say was, i disconnected the hfsm and let it sit for a while, then re-installed it, after ign on off sequence, bike started fine. then after a few hours passed i tried to start bike again and NO luck,,i was wondering if i bought a good used ebay (i know its a risk) with correct hfsm # , will i have any problem setting pin? or other issues i may need to take it to dealer for? OR can i just use pin set up as usual, ign on off ...turn sig button etc...basically plug and play? thanks..

so are you saying that your bike originally did not have security and then you bought a hfsm off of ebay and are trying to get it married to your bike? if so, i'm pretty sure you are going to have to take it to the dealer to get your ecm flashed. i know that it is possible to go from hfsm to tsm without the dealer flash, but it takes a quite convoluted method, and leaving your bike ignition on for over a half hour (def need to have it on battery tender) but i don't know if you can do it the other way without the dealer flashing it.....
