I had one on my heritage and didnt like it. It had too much flex and didnt give enough support with the bars. I got the harley backrest/bracket on my rk that I got used for $75 and it is much better.

When I ordered my C&C I had ordered it with the rider backrest. I really only used it once on a day long solo ride. Even though my wife could be considered petite, she found that it forced her to stretch her thighs uncomfortably so I can't use it riding 2up. I don't use it just riding around town either so it just sits on the shelf in my garage.

I have the Mustang seat with a backrest. I bought it used and sold my other Mustang seat. All told, it cost me $100. Well worth the investment. I have several thousand miles on it and it's one of the better comfort farkles I've added.

I have a Grasshopper and highly recommend it. I go back and forth between two different seats. He changed / modified the shaft so that the backrest would work with both seats. I highly recommend!

Yeah, wife hopped on the bike one time only with the backrest and determined "that ain't gonna work", so it's only on when I'm solo.

Just took my first ride after installing the grasshopper this week. Only a short 45 min putt but my first impression is very positive. Keeps me from slouching which I am prone to do on the Heritage.
