No Tune during the install. I have Power Vision and Fuel Moto sent me a map for my equipment. I flashed it before I left the service area at drop off. The shop was not familiar with the PV1.

My deal for the 255 and labor includes a tune on the dyno for my 2012 RK
My question is it worthwhile.
I could do it myself and then get it tuned. I already own a SERT.
Advice welcome.

What i want is a 255 cam up grade. My dealer told me 1500.00 for cam install and dyno
Is this a fair price for just a cam and dyno ?
What made you want a 255 cam.

The SE 255 seems to be used a lot. I'd also consider a Woods 221, Andrews 54, or a
551 from S and S
Advice appreciated again.

The Woods 222 or 555 would be a good choice BUT these is nothing wrong with the SE255 despite what some of the experts say. There is just way too many of them out there not complaining of issues.

The cams would be yours. But I'm not a fan of 255 cams. They run out of power too fast.

And before I chose cams I would sit down and think. Is cams all that I'm gonna do on this motor. and can I be happy with just the cams.
Remember, if you get a little power now, are you gonna want a little more later on to make me happy then.
If the answer is yes I would get the Woods 222 .
If the answer was no or I'm not for sure. But I think I may change the pistons to increase the size of the motor and add some compression and maybe do the heads.
In that case I would look at the Woods 555 cams. The 555 is the sam cams as the 222, but they have more duration. And with the more duration.
They need more compression to wake them up.
What I'm trying to do is get you to do your homework so everything that you do, in the future you don't have to come back and change anything.
But bottom line its your choice.

We took the SE 255 out of a 2010 SG with a 110cu motor. And put the Woods 222 in the 110cu motor. We got a Power Vision from Jamie with fuelmoto. The guy said what a difference in going from the SE 255 to the Woods 222 cams.
Then we stuck the 222 cams in a 96cu in a 2007 SG and did the Power Vision. It also came out rocking.

If you have a builder Like Prodrag, or Scott with Hillside. Use what they want to do the build with. Because they will set the engine and heads up around the cam they pick. Nobody is gonna make a better deceision then them.
hey will probably go into more detail into what kind of riding you will be doing. And what you are looking for out of your bike.
Else wise look at Kits that are tried and proven. Even then you need somebody with the knowledge and tools to put the motor together correctly.

Good Luck.

Just had 254e cams done (better choice than 255s) already had stage 1 & SERT. Cam install & dyno tune ran just a hair over $1100.00 from HD dealership.

Bike runs like a scorched ***** with a syphillus sore!
