removeable beer box

I have a FLFTCUI and want to convert the upper rear luggage box (beer box) to removeable. Has anyone done this? Can I cut and splice a CB cable? What type of connectors?

Youll have to drill 4 holes in the bottom of the tour pak to mount to the detachable bracket. Youll also have to change your radio and cb antenna to an antenna thats mounted to the bike, unless you dont want to use these with the pak removed.

Sincecrazy, I want the box on a quick release, so I have to keep the ants on the box. Do you know where I could mount the radio ant when the beer box is off. I want to make up the brackets myself since HD's cost for a quick release is crazy. Thanks!

Im thinking a friend of mine mounted his radio antenna on the fender strut, using one of those black flexible antennas.
