I have an 09 FLHTCU, can i take off the saddlebag guards and twin rails?
I know i can take them off but what does the center saddlebag support rail
attach too?
I am stripping some parts off for a possible trade, that's why i'm asking.
thanks for the insight.
You can remove the twin rails, but not the main guards, if you also want to retain the bags. The bags are dependent on the guards for support. Why do you ask?

Thanks again for the info.
I wanted to strip the bike of what i could for a possible trade.
I love the twin rails and wanted to keep them.
If you remove just the rails, then aren't you left with holes in the
saddlebag guards where the twin rails screw into?
thanks.
