Default Can't find bolts. Please help

Do I want to take off the bags the previous owner mounted on my 06 fxdb, but I can't find replacement bolts. I don't want to cut the ones that he used, they're just regular old bolts!! Where the hell do I get the right ones?? The closest Harley dealer is 3hrs away?? Please help!!

As stated above, try your local hardware store. I'd advise not going to your dealer, they will charge you an arm and a leg for them over what your local hardware store would charge.

I found the longer ones I needed for mounting my bags at a Farm and Fleet, I'm sure you can find the shorter ones there as well.

Hardware store. At Fastenal, you will probably have to buy more than you need.

You want bolts with fancy handles. Order from McMaster.com. On line catalog is real easy to search through. For me UPS delivers the next day.

Grinder, wire wheel to shorten bolts. Sometimes I need to use serrated knife to fix thread after grinder.

Thread on a bolt BEFORE grinding. Removing the bolt post-grinding usually restores deformed threads.
