Default 2012 Fat Bob Code P0118

I was riding today and noticed the engine light was on. Figured holy crap! Bike seemed to still run okay even with the light on. After a minute or so the light went out. Well it did this a coupla three times but the bike still seemed to run okay-no cutting out, bucking or whatnot.
Went to a Harley shop and the guy there brought up the code of P0118. Said it had maybe something to do with the fuel. Maybe run the tank dry and then refill it and see if it comes back.
Got back to the house without the light coming on. While I was waiting to park the bike in idle, the light came back on and the idle kicked up a little then went back down and the light went off again after a few seconds, after the idle smoothed out again.
Been Googling around and found out a number of Harley items with this code mention P0118 as dealing with the ET sensor.
Was the Harley service guy mistaken or is it indeed an ET sensor issue?
Anybody have any idea as to what the problem could be and any solutions?
