Does anyone know why the sight glass has 2 sealing positions ?
It seals when pushed down and as well when pulled up.
I just picked one up for my 2001 FLH and just curious to see if anyone knows why. Looked like a normal MC cover in the bag and didn't discover it was different than the original.
I called the dealer and really didn't get anything other than "push it down"
One explanation was it was for ABS systems to assist in bleeding...I got thinking about that and maybe it does some how.. BUT the cover is labeled "Use only DOT 5 fluid"
I don't believe any of the bikes with ABS use DOT 5..
