I just purchased a 2018 107 road glide . I have to have dealer install the cam to keep my warranty . I am going with the torque Cam . They want 6 hours of labor to do install ?.. that to me seems a lot I was thinking 3 houres top ? Are taking me for a ride ? Dan

Dan, I've got the same bike and am looking to do a Stage2 upgrade with the torque cam too. How do you like it? I'm looking for a nice deep sound, not too loud. What pipes did you use? Thanks, Dutchy

Default Stage 2

Hey a wast of money . I got 105 tq 95 hp .my wife’s 107 stage one has 107 tq 86 hp the TQ curve is no better . She can take me off the line and keep up just can’t stay up at high RPM . My 103 I traded in had a stage one 106tq 85 Hp . Red line has a 468 bolt in cam that is pulling 118TQ 110 Hp the timing is better. wish I had waited till warranty was up . Wast of money ! It doesn’t take 6 hours ! I had a talk to the service manger. I have been working on HD for 40 years and told him it’s a rip off. He is taking advantage of people. he dropped price $250 .00 labor . Good luck hope I helped . The dealer is the only one getting a head !

I knew that the tq cam really gave more HP than tq. Still go it as I hated the way stock motor signed off too early. Was done at the first service. Once the warranty runs out it will like get a stage 4 aftermarket build.

kinda depends upon the shop. the one here uses a flat rate. some shops will go with what the market can bear. it can also go by if you have a good relationship.
from the moco, they have a flat rate book that gives guidelines on how long a trained tech can do the job.
as a previous gm goodwrench, if the book says 6 hours and you do it in 4, you still got paid 6 and it was past on to the customer. but by the same token, if it took 8 hours, you only got paid 6. if the work came back, you had to fix it for free unless there were other factors, an attempt to make the mechanic do it right the first time.
if you came in say for electrical glitch, doors are unbarred, paid at flat rate till problem resolved.
there are some of the old service books out on the net but NOT current, however, the hours still should be ball park.

After Cam was installed and tuned . We headed to Alaska from Key West after 1000 miles on the trip in GA oil started coming from AC all over right side of bike and me and my luggage . Kept going just watched oil leaves got California and had 5000 mile service and contacted my local dealer about problem . Tech in California said oil pump problem would be 3-4 days ! They cleared me to move on just watch oil can’t afford to stay in motel 3-4 nights plus had plans to see people on the way ! We head to Alaska had 10,000 mile service same thing . Head back to the states oil is only coming out at 3100 RPM and up we got home just a couple days ago 15000miles took to my original dealer said Rhinehart AC could be problem ? Now they have the moter apart .top end off oil pump out said some new plate for oil pump is out from HD 12OZ of oil in Sump ! Has anyone else had this problem ? They said Stage 2-3 seem to bring this problem out ? The dealer in California said this plate for the oil pump should be installed at Cam installation ?
