Default Trouble Codes

A good friend has a Sportster 883 2004 model. After she warms up, Operating temperature or so if you stopped at a light for instance, when you tried to take off there would be no response from throttle. Just sputter and backfire a little. I retrieved the codes just a minute ago and got a P0373 and P0374. I think these are CKP codes but I'm curious what the common fix is. Is the sensor toast typically? Also have a high and low voltage code(s) P0562 and P0563. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Start by checking the battery. You can use the proceedure in the service manual or take it to auto zone or similar and they can test it. Also, check the battery cables at both ends to ensure they are not just connected but also there are no other problems such as corrision, cuts, partial breaks in the cable.
