Default Re-blacking inner fairing

2010 ultra and like its owner it’s aging.
inner fairing is showing wear in usual spots like ignition, light switches etc.
i wanna bring it back to black....sorta like my hair!
whats the best solution? Don’t want to have to touch it up every time I wash it and don’t want to send it in for painting.
ideas??
thanks

HD makes a back to black, or whatever it is they call it, for the inner fairing. Look in the P&A catalog.

two ways, do it right or "the other"
if it is plastic use a plastic paint like krylon fusion. its carrier will etch into the substrate.
if it is fiber glass you can use an epoxy or a little more involved gel coat
if it is metal, powder coat
if aluminum, there is anodizing, had my forks done 20+ years ago and still are acceptable.

the right would be to remove the assy for a complete job, the other spot treatment.
anywho, plan on keeping it awhile, then some beer, work bench and some music and get-r done!

Talking

Wear your wear with pride! Fill her up, take her for a ride until you need to refill, by way of an apology for having such thoughts, then ride back home for your favourite beverage. Continue drinking until such thoughts finally evaporate.....

Try “Back to Black”. It does a good job on faded inter farings, but you will have to redo every few months. Simple to do.
