So, for a one shot and done car/bike show, on perfectly polished paint, Pledge could be a option for someone is what the information I gathered has told me. Is it the best option, in my opinion no. This isn't 2002. If the paint isn't polished correctly then what you will have is a 15 footer. Lots of cars look good 15ft away. Put them under some gas station lights, put a Scan grip light on it, then the truth comes out. Lipstick on a pig.
Hahahaha....WHAT!!! I have 109K on my bike and even more on my 30 year old truck, these aren't show rigs and I use Pledge as a QD product cause it works and has for 20 years now. You don't want to use then don't, it's pretty simple, spend your money on whatever you want. I use what I use because it works for me and I really don't care what you think or soapbox about.
I posted my thoughts on what I found researching the topic. What guys that use it are saying. Why they use, how they use it, what they use it on, how long it lasts, etc. Not one of the guys in those threads use it on their daily drivers. Their answer why not on there daily drivers was never posted.
It does not matter to me at all what anybody uses, why should it. You could pour canola oil on your paint for all I care. I love the stuff I use on my vehicles. It lasts and protects. My customers are happy with my work, they pay me and its all good.
But Im soapboxing and a POS. Awesome.
What the hell, why not use Behold or Scott's Liquid Gold, End Dust or Old Gold ? To polish first maybe apply Murphy's Oil Soap before the Pledge furniture polish application.. Why not some liquid floor wax used on hard wood floors, like Renew ?
it was invented in the 60's to get rid of static (dust) on vinyl records so that there was less white noise and clicks and pops when played. It can eliminate static on anything it's "shot" at, thus dust isn't attracted or "repelled" via a charge from the gun.
But ya'll just keep opening ur mouth and showin just how smart you are!
I wonder if this detailer good have just used the stuff in the can and saved some time?? Wonder if it would have looked better if he would have used some of the "Behind the scenes" stuff??
Wow.... this is one of the few threads I've seen that rankle peoples nerves.... all over which product you like. I like one thing, you like another, so I'm the ******* because I don't like the same thing you do. Wow....some people are closed minded. I don't care what you use, what you ride, how you ride (unless you ride with me and do stupid things), what your favorite color is. I won't argue and call names over it. I sometimes wonder if the people on this forum are just trolls looking to shake things up or if you all are really that closed minded and refuse to accept another thought, idea, or opinion of someone else.
I find some of these threads informative as to other products, processes, and how-to..... but find it disruptive that others come in to bash someone who thinks differently than you do. No, I will not go away, I find enough here to keep me here. I just think some of y'all are childish loud mouth boors.......
