Oh my...
I don't get the whole need for speed thing. Hell, I rarely go over 75mph. I just like to get there quick. Not a peak HP guy. Peak hp is good for the track and bragging rights on the dyno. I'm more interested in how much hp I can make by 5500rpm. Most people don't wind their motors much tighter in a street bike. Not all that often anyway.
It was suggested when I called Woods and talked to Bobby about cams that I go with their TW999-6A even with stock compression. Some here noted it would be soft in the bottom and they're right. But Bobby also suggested going to a 30 tooth from evolution industries to replace the stock compensator gear to make up for that and I'd have a bad *** hot rod that would be even badder with a compression bump down the road. He's probably right but at what cost to my crank? In the end, it just wasn't worth the risk to have the baddest hot rod.
There's alot of good cams out there that would've fit the bill on an otherwise stock stage1 103. That MR103 is one of them. In fact I finally narrowed mine down to that one or the triple 2s and decided on the tripple 2s...I think. lol
If you want a race to see what dies first, you or your bike, maybe that combo would work for you.
