Default Converting back a 77 Ironhead right shift

Hi guys
I have a 77 ironhead sitting in my garage and have decided to have it back on the tracks. it's a chopper and the builder converted the gear shift. it's on the right side and I want it back to left, like on my fatboy. It's very stylish, but with just one break I think it is safer to have it on the left side.
Do you have any recommendation on the process ?

nice look, but definitely undrivable with the break on left side.

So, the shifter shaft is actually coming out of the right side of the bike, and the rear brake master cylinder is on the left?

So, it sounds to me like you would need that wierd aluminum shifter pedal that connected on the right side of the bike, but went under the trans to the left side.

This https://www.kandgcycles.com/foot-lev...yABEgJqzPD_BwE

connects to rods and linksges and goes under the engine to the left. Here is a thread on this but probably not what you want to hear, I am thinking your drivetrain isnt a 77.

Read up, tell us what you think. Im thinking tyou could put hthe special 1975 shifter lever on the bike, but in that post the consensus is it sucks.

What sounds weird to me, is that it's like I have the stuff ready on the left side. In fact it's like the bike was converted with right shift, and it's ready to get back to original

see the bottom head looks to be made just for the gear shift, am i right ? The brake goes beneath the carter, and is not an issue.

That looks like a right side shifter to me. Looks like the shifter shaft enters the timing cover. Not sure about the brakes, I have not worked on older Sportsters.
