Default Replacing stock heated hand grips.

I'm looking at the Willie G P/N 56100362 for a 2020 Road Glide Limited. I've never replaced a set of heated grips but why would the set I'm replacing the stock grips with not be wired through the bars just like the stock grips? Am I missing something here, or just looking at the wrong hand grips, these come up when I put my bikes info in as compatible but the pics show an external wire running off the grip....Hoping someone with more experience here can help me out.

Those are internal wires that can be routed externally.
