So I shipped my 2009 Softtail Night Train cross country and it was sitting in storage for a while so the battery drained. I decided I am going to do some minor maintenance on the bike. I changed the oil and oil filter, put in two new spark plugs, put in all new 15 amp fuses, and cleaned out the Screaming Eagle Air filter. I also left the battery on a tender with hopes I can bring it back to life, was getting the clicks when I tried to start it so I just purchased a new battery and installed it. The bike was no longer clicking but it's still having issues starting. It is not turning over. The check engine light comes on when I switch to Run, and the oil light also is on, but when I hit the ignition it goes away. I checked for diagnosis codes or errors, and they all showed none.
I attached a video so you can hear the noise, maybe that can help point me in the right direction.
Not sure what the issue is. Checked the battery connections and they are tight and clean. The bike has fuel in it, at least a qtr of a tank, but the fuel is old, not sure if that could be the culprit. Could it be the oil pressure because I did something wrong during the oil change?
Hope you guys can help me out and point me in the right direction. Much Appreciated.
Have you checked for spark ? Check all your connections at the starter and going up into your coils . I could hear you fuel ump prime , so I'm guessing everything on that end is good .
it. The bike was no longer clicking but it's still having issues starting. It is not turning over..

It is not turning over
As for the check engine lights and such, are you talking about how the ligths come on when you first start bike?
I'd check connections. Put bike on 10 or 6 amp charge and see if you get more than clicks, though that would be new batter is bad. Which is unlikely but not impossible. Being that it wasn't working before, I doubt you had bad bike and bad new battery. Check the wire at starter. Though that rarely seems to come lose. Usually it is at battery.
Yes , it's turning over , but that doesn't mean there's spark , correct ?
Edit : Sorry Zerk , I must be confused , thought he put in a new battery and then posted the video of the bike turning over but not firing .
Agree. I read it was not turning over. I have limited data, so did not watch video.
Agree check spark. But it does seem to be similar. First not turning over then turning over but not starting. Still sounds like low voltage somewhere. But I do agree, if turning over, it is eay to check spark.
Gotcha , the vid shows the bike turning over , but not firing . I agree with you , could very well be a low voltage issue , won't know until we hear from AK about spark .
