Bought used ultra in 15 with 35k. Just under 60k now. Among other things decided to change fuel filter.
this is what it looked like..and bike was runninglike a champ and getting great gas mileage.
I think it’s a tie....
im amazed mine ran so well with such a cruddy dirty filter!
was a pretty straight forward swap out. So glad I did it. Pretty sure I heard my bike sigh when I started her up....lol
-HD in years past had the filter as a routine replacement item. Now it is like 100K miles, Not sure why they let it go so long. I think I will also change mine not due to mileage, but due to my trip to Alaska where some of the gas stations were probably not the most sanitary.
One of the things I was going to do at the beginning of this season . I decided not to bother because I only have just over 30,000 Km on it , but I'm starting to wonder if maybe I should .
I followed Harley's maintanence and had mine chaged at 100K (2014 Limited). The filter was unbelievable. It looked like mud, not dirt but mud, was caked on the filter. Tech told me that you should change the filter at least every 50K. After filter change throttle response was kile addng a few HP.
