Default I need more torque off the line

Howdy,
Does anyone have a recommendation on pipes that will increase my torque and HP especially from full stop? I currently have D&D headers and V&H oval mufflers and a 110 Screaming Eagle motor and a Baker DD7-seven speed transmission on my 2012 FLHTK Ultra Limited.

I'm dyna-tuned with a TTS Tuner. It just seems that others are off the line from a stop and it takes me full throttle to catch up.

Any one have experience with Fullsac headers?

Thanks

Sounds like it could probably be more operator error than anything else.

I should mention I have a Stage 1 as well.

OldEnuf2NoBrt: When you say that, would you please explain what I could be doing wrong? I got the bike with 6 miles on her in 2011 and now have over 110,000. I did the upgrades I mentioned in 2018 and I don't think I'm doing anything different in terms of shifting and throttle up.

A Stage 1 upgrade isn't much of an upgrade in all reality IMHO. D&D happens to be one of the best that's out there as far as a header for a street bike will go and with a 110" motor you should be more than capable but without seeing you ride it in person there's not much that I could expand on. If you're running true duals on the bike, that could be one of your major issues. If you went to a 2-1 Fatcat set-up from D&D you'd do much better.

You need full throttle to catch up. Huh? Try that earlier.

The fatcat is a hp pipe. Not a torque pipe. Gotta use the right exhaust for the results you're after. The fatcat isn't the best pipe on both ends. It can't be. No exhaust can be. It wouldn't be any better than his V&H slip ons. Probably worse. In fact, a good set of slip ons will usually do better for low end torque than just about any 2in1. The Khromewerks HP Plus slip ons do very well low end and midrange. So would Rush with the 2" baffle. I've got the 2 1/4" baffles and I have more torque off the line than a similar setup with the fatcat. Like 15ft.lbs. more. But the fat cat does way better hp in the upper rpms. Can't be hp king and torque king. It's just not possible. And the fatcat is thee hp king. Can't for the life of me figure out why people wanting low end torque go with that pipe.
Even the Pro Pipe will do way better low end torque than the fatcat.
That said, I'm not sure you'll get enough of what you're after with just an exhaust change but you sure don't want to go backwards either.

Fatcat vs. Pro Pipe

Well, while I do appreciate all the feedback and value your suggestions, I ran across a couple of videos of racers talking about their techniques of getting down the straightaway. Turns out, I can see where I have not applied the proper method which debunks the theory that you can't teach an old dog new tricks. What I haven't been doing and will now practice is getting my RPMs up, clutch to the friction zone and synchronize the two as I power out of a stop. I've just been letting my clutch out, rolling on the throttle without loading up first as I'm waiting on a green light. Now I've got something new to work on. Happy riding, y'all!
