I am bypassing mine using a set of stacked banjo fittings. Less that $30 in parts. Just had to fine M10x1.00 mm bolts to fill the unused holes on the module. FWIW mine is a 2010.
I dont know about ABB breaks, but I find it very hard to believe the 2023s wont have ABS brakes. Plus, the dealer wouldnt have information on the 2023s yet. Sounds like BS to get you to buy what they have.
That's just it. I don't need anything. it looks like but just the ABS module. Not sure about the 23's. They told me the ABS modules situation is like it is with the chip shortage for cars. I think I'm taking it out. Very bad design. I'm afraid it will just fail again.
Yours will be the first 14+MY ABS failure I’ve read about. Maybe they have failed, all the riders died going down mountains at 80 MPH pulling a trailer and that’s why I never read about it? Could be, I guess. 😳
ABS expensive POS when it’s quits working, or when you gotta spend $150 to bleed it should you get any air in the system ( takes OEM computer program to cycle the ABS unit) . Screw that. I will ride my TC w/regular /conventional brakes untill I die. You gotta have ABS, 8” info screen, cruise control, traction control, predicting bathroom schedule ? Not me.
At this stage of the game I wouldn’t own. Bike without ABS. It’s a proven system that works.
yes every manufacturer will have issues with something. There is no getting around it.
personally I would take the risk of an ABS failure rather than rely on old technology (non abs). I believe the risk of a wheel lock up to be much higher than an ABS failure

At issue is design of system.
Failure should result in lack of ABS NOT lack of brakes
If it were me i would ditch the ABS. Just more crap to fail.
That's a big 10-4. So glad my '13 doesn't have it. I don't care for it on any vehicle. But then I know how to pump my brakes and prefer to do so and not rely on some computer to do so for me.
