Default Almost nothing left.

Hello, in sorry if this is discussed elsewhere. I'm not good at navigating this site. When removing one of the 5 primary mounting bolts. One snapped. Leaving me with a 1/2" nub. It seems really tight. Even so tight my vice grips applied with pliers won't stop from slipping. I've welded a nut to it. I just broke the bolt again. Tried heat and vice grips. Again, and again. The bond seems stronger than the bolt.

Trying to avoid tap and die. Dont know anything about that

If you have not had any success with removal, it may have been cross threaded in the first place and galled the threads. If it was me, I would take it to someone who has done this before (machine shop) and have them remove, or drill/tap or install a heli coil or time-sert to fix.

There looks to still be room to weld a nut on there, get someone with good welding skills and they will get it hot with a good MIG weld. What did you use for welding?

No sense buggering it up and then having to do a major repair.

Soak it with liquid wrench or a similar tread solvent, WD-40,; etc..Let it soak in..Use Mat gas to really heat the case up. Vice grips and time.. I removed 30 year old struck bolts from my tractor, it will come out, takes time.

Remove the inner primary cover, take it to a machine shop and have them perform the repair.

What Dan said. Take it to a machine shop. I’ve played this game.

Sorry Dan, but that looks like the engine case judging by the rotor.. I would definitely take it to a machine shop.. If you duck up the engine case it's gonna cost you lots.. Pay a professional now and save all the headaches..

I've heard people have success heating it up, let candle wax melt/wick into the threads, then try to get it out. Good luck.

I use an electric soldering gun, zip tie the trigger and hold for a minimum of 5 minutes. If loctite is holding it will melt and should come out with vise grips. Always leery of using a map gas torch.

Best thing for creeping lubricant is a wax bowl seal for a toilet.
