Default Sealant on new paint

I got a rear fender painted, well not thinking I put some spray sealant on it.

Now I'm reading not to do that for 30 days due to paint outgassing.

Should I wipe it down with alcohol to try to remove the sealant? Is it likely to hurt anything?

Thanks guys

No idea, not trying to be a smart ***, did you ask the shop that painted it?

When you say sealant, do you mean wax?

I would just leave it alone.

Anything you try and do (alcohol) will just make it worse.

I would not even wash even with car soap products.

If it looks like the sealant is doing nothing leave it be as it will allow the paint to cure but it may take longer.

What type of paint?
What type of sealer?
How long had the paint been when you put the sealer on?

Just my opinion.

Thanks guys, it was just a detail spray sealant. The paint has been dry about a week, I asked my painter he said its probably fine, but told me i could wipe with alcohol. So, I wiped down with alcohol and it seems to be fine.

Too late now but you should wait at least 90 days for the gases to escape the paint before even waxing new paint.

As was stated, ask the shop that painted it. Some places will cure the paint. Every time I've had the local place do body work they say it's fine to coat when I pick it up

I recently had the rear quarter panel repaired on my 2011 Focus. The shop told me I could wash the car, but to NOT use any waxes, sealants, etc... for at least 30 days.

Worked in car dealerships in my younger years, never met a body person who was afraid of a little wax on fresh paint. At least not after some UV light curing.

Trying to remove the wax with solvents or friction, that would be the greater risk at this point.
