I dont know if I can post a non bike thread here but I guess I'll find out.
I just read about a bottle of Macallen 1929 whiskey selling at auction for $2.7 MILLION !!!
It got me thinking........would you do with it what it was made for.....namely.....to be drunk?
Or save it as an irreplaceable investment?
Once it's gone......it's gone!!
I'm more of a bourbon guy, so I'd probably save it.
But I'm quite sure I'll never have to make that decision.
Drink half of it and then top it off with water, put the cap back on along with the price tag. Sell it to the first offer. Move to where there is sand and sunshine year round.
What the hell , we are dreaming are we not ?

Sold in a heartbeat. Can do a heck of a lot of better things with that much money, and I don't care how good it is, I couldn't justify cracking something like that open and drinking it given the value. I mean, I could sell it and buy 90,000 bottles of the Rye I drink.
Normal folks do not buy stuff like that. Lottery winners may buy something like that, just to drink it and **** off collectors. Like the guy who buys an expensive painting and the puts it in the bathroom.
