Not trying to argue, but I just reread the original post. And from what I understand, correct me if I'm wrong, the OP couldn't find anybody to take him right away?

I did get in touch, through friends, with an independent mechanic and he kept saying check with me next week already 3 times...and still hasn't seen me..."
Maybe the title should have been " can't find a good mechanic who will take my bike in immediately"

When I talked to people however, I got the feeling that they didn't know what I was talking about, but figured they'd Google it or figure it out so why turn me down. With the bike warmed up, it literally takes 2 minutes to tune the carb. My problem was I didn't know how the bike was supposed to sound like, how to respond to the throttle etc - something a good experienced mechanic should know, imo.
