I bought my 07 EGC with 10000 miles on it and already the guy had stripped out the 2 outside screws. Epoxy worked for a while but with the plastic being split, it only held for a while.. Maybe 10K -20K. I ended up drilling through and making special nuts, 303 stainless that fit from the back side. Delrin washer cut to match the fairing inner. 100000 miles later, still fine..

Yeah i think this is what I need to do. The epoxy let's go...and I had a mobile repair guy try all the heavy duty **** and it never held up.

Or I just replace it with an AM one with double din.

Ingenious. You should make a kit and sell them.

Unfortunately I don't have the dimensions and the parts are a tight fit. I don't want to try and pry the parts apart. The unknowns are the length of the nut thin part and the angle cut on the Delrin spacer.
