How much room are you really gaining for the effort? I would take a measurement and then lay it out on floor to compare. Though maybe can push into a spot you couldn't normally get into?
That's the point. We just moved into a smaller place and while its a 2 car garage, its considerably smaller then the expansive one I left. If I pull my SUV in, I have enough space for an upright Dyna between the back wall and the back bumper. Having the bike leaned over on the stand will add about a foot I expect (I haven't measured precisely yet) but I've got 14" shocks which makes it lean over a bit more the stock, adding the overall width. Upright saves a lot of width.
But yes, I need to make measurements. I have a scissor jack to get an upright width measurement.
Looking around, I saw a video of I guy who mounted a cheap ebay chock on a HF dolly. Seemed to like it. However seeing the unit that Jake24lt posted is making me second guess my "fab it" plan and considering just buying one.
For the cost after the Condor, you'll be better off with the one Jake posted.
I'd still add rings for straps.
My Softail still wants to lean in the chock, so I strap it around the bars to keep it upright.
14" additional sure isn't much . Mark it on floor...
I have never parked an auto inside. Use. Push broom to clean snow
.if you planning on using this every time you ride it seems like an awful life to live. Not sure if this is shows the will to ride and doing whatever it takes, or the opposite .
I would move. ive moved all over my life, and just never did this.
If you had some tragedy that forced this, sorry to hear

As I clearly said in the post, this is for storage only, with the ability to access if necessary... I ride my Road King mostly, which will be in the adjacent spot. But thanks for the unsolicited opinions...
Your life isn't as bad as I thought. But still question 14" being worth. You must have a tiny garage which would suck. Unless you got some huge collection

No idea where you are getting 14" from... Maybe your last boyfriend? (sorry, I couldn't resist the opportunity for a vulgar joke) - I think you saw my statement of "I have 14" shocks" which meant that on the jiffy stand the bike leans over considerably more then with stock height shocks. Hence causing more overall width driving the need to find an upright solution.

What an odd thing to say.........
What would ANYONE think about a comment like this?
NOWHERE was this kind of subject even CLOSE to being brought up.......
You don't think right, you're not right in the head man!!

Dont sweat that guy. He is known to be an oddball and an instigator. Though occasionally he stays on track.
