Default New Jack needed for lift

As the title said. I need a new jack for my lift. Not the big lift to raise it up high but the smaller one used for detailing or minor maintenance. The jack on mine jerks as it goes down and makes me concerned about the herky jerky movements. Any recommendations? Everything else on the lift I like.

What specific lift are we talking about?
Most use some type of bottle jack.......

Pictures and model of jack would be useful.

Has it been leaking?

You may have air in the cylinder and need to bleed it.

Is there a fill port?

Harbor Freight has a variety of bottle jacks that you may be able to use on your lift/jack.

Does it jerk goinng down with no load on it?

You may need to just grease/lube the friction points of the lift if they are dry and not lubricated.

Get a Daytona jack from Harbor Freight. They are smooth, reliable, and a great value. The low-profile Long Reach model is a popular choice for lift users.

You might try to locate a hydraulic shop that can service your Jack, source whatever parts are needed and get it back in shape. Worked for me ..😁.

Remove the Hydraulic jack from its mount and take it to Harbor Freight, find a match, or one that is close.
My guess is you will end up buying a new Motorcycle/ATV lift when you are there.
