Hi everybody. My wife and I going to Mt. Rushmore this summer. I'll need to trailer myFB there 'cause she won't ride that far. (from N.E.PA)Here's my problem. I can use my tilt 2 place enclosed snowmobile trailer. I'll need to take out the ski glides, that's no big deal. I want to put something on the wood floor because it's as slippery as you know what and I'll be loading and unloading by myself. Any ideas?
Thanks!
Cheap way:
Go to Menards and pick up some wire mesh fence and staple it down as needed. That way it will be easily removable when done.
Best way:
I myself have a tilt bed trailer but is is too steep to load that way. I went and bought a 3 fold section loading ramp which works the best. When done I fold it up and strap down on the trailers to take along.
My buddy uses a snow mobile trailer all the time. He didn't put anything over the plywood...No need. He used a wheel chock, eyelets for the tie downs and an added measure, after the bikes were loaded we used 2x4's on either side of the bike screwd into the plywood to keep the bike from hopping. Overkill, but thats OK...The looks we got in Myrtle with a snowmobile trailer was priceless
