Default Air Temp Guage

Has anyone moved the sensor for the Air Temp Guage ? Someone said it was next to the Gas Gauge. Maybe that is way it is always 20 degree high ona sunny day. I am thinking about moving mine out of the fairing shell. Any words of wisdom on the subject ?

Thanks,
RJ

Easy to do and when done it's pretty accurate and useable compared to how it is from the factory.

All you need is about 16" of 14 gauge wire and some double-stick tape. Remove fairing... find the sensor (it's a white square thingy about 1.25" square mounted pretty much in plain sight). Unclip it from where it's mounted and then splice in the 16" of wire mentioned above...

Drop the sensor down out the bottom of the fairing and use some double stick tape to fix it to the chrome facia plate below the fairing/behind the headlight area. This iswhere it's out of the way and not visible yet is in the open air and will give you a good reading.
