I found a mechanics tool set at Sams Club for 59.00 bucks, they're made by ChannellockĀ® Mechanic's Tool Set - 169 pc. Then I went to Sears and they had nothing close to this selection. Of course the Channellock tools are made in Tawain and the Sears are made here in the good ole USA. They both offer a lifetime warranty....what do you all think? Anyone familiar with the Sams Club tools?
I wouldn'y buy tools made in Taiwan. Sure, they have a warrenty. But what happens when that socket breaks on a Sunday afternoon? Or worse, on the side of the road. You have to send it back, wait a few weeks, etc.
I buy Crasftman tools only. Snap On or Mack are probably better quality for more money. But if I break a socket on a Sunday afternoon, I can be home using a new one in an hour or less.
Its $59.00 it aint like its gonna be your only tool set what if one of your snap ons breaks and the truck dosent come for another two days you would be happy you spent the $59.00
Home Depot and Lowe's sells tools that have a life-time warranty.
Quite frankly, I can't remember ever breaking any of my tools, Craftsman or otherwise, except for maybe a really cheap wrench or screwdriver. I have lost a few though.

Stay away from that crap and buy you some good tools.
The only wrenches and sockets in my box are.
Snap-On
Craftsman Get their pro wrenches. Look and feel like the snap on.
Break a Snap-On tool. Yea Right! The only tools I have ever broken I shouldn't been doing what I was doing with them. And even then they replaced them.
