Default New Floorboard inserts

Got any tips for installing new floorboard inserts? Road King-old style-
these have the rubber grommet looking plugs that go into the holes in the floorboard pan. What's the easy way to plug those things into the holes?

Also use a little coating of rubber grease, that will make life a lot easier for you.
